Recently, Microsoft has announced a search capability to find texts from images uploaded on SharePoint or OneDrive in Office 365. By the end of December 2017, Microsoft will launch this search feature to SharePoint cloud. There are many formats which will be available to extract the texts from the image. It will identify the texts whether the image type is a whiteboard, business card, receipt, outdoors, X-ray or any other type. It not only extracts texts from the image file but can also search the texts from the word file. It can also parse the photos of texts that you snapped. You can do this directly from mobile apps like Office Lens mobile app, OneDrive mobile app or you can just upload the photo from your system.
